Animal Sanctuary
An animal sanctuary is a facility where animals are bought to live, so they are protected from harm, abuse, neglect and in many cases, death. They are safe to live out the remainder of their lives, thanks to hardworking and dedicated people.
These sanctuaries not only strenuously work to rescue animals, nurture them back to health and provide them with a safe haven. They also do one of the most critical jobs of educating the public on the threats these animals face, how we can protect them from harm and ensure their safety in the future. Educating, Spreading awareness and raising the much-needed funds for these facilities to operate is the key to the survival of these precious souls, so there are now sanctuaries that are opening their doors to the public! Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy meeting the animals, learning about their unique personality and hearing each individuals story of how they found their way to the sanctuary.
