Ayutthaya
The Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya historic city of Thailand was destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century. However, the ruins of the most important buildings have been consolidated, repaired and reconstructed. These remains, characterized by the reliquary towers and gigantic monasteries, however, have become a protected Heritage Site due to its historical and unique features. The city was laid out according to a systematic planning grid, consisting of roads, canals, and moats.
Travel back in time to experience the atmosphere of a historic city that was once filled with culture, arts and performances, literature, and architecture. This is truly a wonderful place to visit.
