Bruges
Bruges is a picture perfect medieval town in northern Belgium with no cars, made of cobbled lanes, market squares, old churches, canals, picturesque houses, and the perfect medieval Europe atmosphere. Being in Bruges is like going back in time, everything has been done to preserve the old charm of the town and this is attracting tourists from all over the globe. Tourism is the main activity in Bruges and everyone seems to be involved in it one way or the other.
Visitors can follow the ring road to the historic center where most of the town's attractions are, or explore Kruispoort, Ezelpoort, Gentpoort and the ancient gates of Smedenpoort. Everything in Bruges is within a walking distance and even though it is a small town it is booming with activity. Places like Sint-Magdalena, Sint-Gillis, Sint-Salvators, Sint-Anna, or Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk have different things to offer.
Bruges is famous for succulent seafood cooked in Belgian beer, traditionally made chocolates too are a thriving business in this little fairy-tale town. With a museum dedicated to chocolate, its history and the process of transforming cocoa beans to chocolate.
