Duncan Road
The 429-kilometer-long Duncan Road travels alongside the White Mountain Hills and Ord River through some of the most picturesque Kimberley wilderness, stopping at mighty Lake Argyle, the largest artificial lake in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as spectacular swimming holes and nature-based camping areas.
To get to the Duncan Road turn-off at Halls Creek, take the Great Northern Highway (also known as the Savannah Way) for 7 hours from Broome or 3.5 hours from Kununurra. You'll need to resupply in Halls Creek because there are no amenities along the entire journey.
