Once upon a time, a fire was lit on a hilltop to ensure people at sea were guided home safely. As years went on and time passed, this fire on the hill was transformed into an infrastructure; The lighthouse! To this day, Some lighthouses are still used and play an important role in sea and air navigation. However due to todays technology many lighthouses are no longer in use but are open to the public to explore and learn the part they played in history!
