Fremantle
It's hard to leave Fremantle once you get drawn in and want to stay forever.
Its appeal can be found in its winding alleyways surrounded with old buildings, seagull-strewn port, fishing boats floating in the water, one-of-a-kind businesses, unusual brewers, and eccentric buskers.
You may take a 25-minute train trip or a 30-minute drive down Stirling Highway to get there from the heart of Perth. Freo, as the locals refer to it, has a colourful past that matches the vibrancy of its marketplaces. Hundreds of little stalls operated by artists, manufacturers, and gardeners have gathered within the limestone walls of the Fremantle Markets since 1897. In the past, convicts, bushrangers, prisoners who managed to escape, and sailors visited the area.
