Hike Up Table Mountain
Cape Town’s most famous attraction and breathtaking scenic spot, a view at the top of the Table Mountain is like looking at the entire world from above. The views are absolutely breathtaking; you can see almost the entire city as well as some of its environs. You can hike or take a cable car to the top depending on whether you want to get to the top faster. Walking up one of Table Mountain's hiking trails is a much more difficult but a far more gratifying experience.
There are several routes up Table Mountain, as well as a couple of beautiful hiking trails. If you walk up Table Mountain via the Platteklip Gorge or India Venster trails, you'll arrive about 700 meters from the Upper Cable Car Station. There are restrooms, a coffee shop, a drinking fountain, and a souvenir shop at the station.
The panoramic walk up begins below at Lion's Head on Signal Hill Drive. As you go up you’ll see The city bowl, Devil's Peak and the prominent front face of Table Mountain. You’d be privileged to experience the magnificent and breathtaking scenery of the Atlantic seaboard from Oudekraal to Bakoven which are all visible when you get to the summit which majestically sits at an elevation of 669m. You can also swim, take awesome photos, or picnic in all these places.
