Hoi An Old Town
Discover Hoi An, the living museum. This riverside Southeast Asian trading city with a rich cultural heritage of charming little houses, Chinese temples, Japanese-designed bridges, French-colonial houses, canals, and pagodas is a one of a kind city. Hoi An has managed to maintain its 17th-century architecture, the streets of the old town are lined with tiny wooden shops, restaurants, and houses all from another era.

Charming little restaurants offer some of the most delicious food you’ll ever taste, and the rich aroma welcomes you from every direction the moment you step outside. To get away from all the bustling touristy sites, Hoi An offers two lovely beaches five kilometers away from the city center.
Hoi An has strong Chinese influences which are very visible in the markets and street vendors. The town is also known for its tailors, there’s one on every street corner. This picturesque city is small enough to explore on foot, bicycle, or to a lesser extent motorbikes. Some streets are strictly pedestrian and there’s no traffic, making it even more inviting to most travelers.
In December 1999, Hoi An became a UNESCO World Heritage site, the old Vietnamese traditions are very much alive in this town.
