Mona Museum
Mona, the museum responsible for putting Hobart on the map. This iconic and controversial labyrinth of old and new art will have you speaking about it for years to come; it is like no other museum in the world! This playground of weird was created by David Walsh, a multimillionaire who some say is either insane or an absolute genius- you can make your own decision in the walls of his museum which is miraculously built into a sandstone cliff! As you descend down the spiral staircase into the yellow light, you will be astounded, flabbergasted, shocked, enlightened and most likely even offended at times!
This adult Disney land will be stimulating all your senses with its smorgasbord of diversity! With so many things to thrill you within its walls, it's simply too many to mention in words. One cannot even begin to wrap their brain around its density of astonishment by reading, this place needs to be seen in the flesh! However just to tickle the surface inside this labyrinth, you'll find Egyptian funerary objects, a waterfall of words falling from above, a miraculous wall of vaginas, a magical Spectrum Chamber of rainbows and even a trampoline to let out the inner child within! The famous Siloam will you lead you through a mysterious tunnel to the whimsical and colourful Pharos and if you get peckish pleasure your tastebuds with its vast selection of quality food and wine (just make sure you eat after you see Mona's giant machine mimicking the human digestive system... your nostrils will be in for a ripe treat as you witness them not only feed it but also watch it do its number "twos"!
