Mt Wellington… Got the top and can confirm it was colder then my soul up there.
a little back story… Driving up the mountain we had to stop at Mt Wellington Springs as the road was closed due to snow. We spoke to the council worker there to see what time the road would open so we could drive to the top to which he recommended we walk not drive because it was an easy stroll with kids and would take “an hour tops” … 4 hours later after trecking through snow and ice up a Rocky Mountain face which felt like we were on a quest to Mordor. We made it to the top to find ourselves in thick fog and couldn’t see anything 😂 and then had to break it to the kids we had to walk all the way back down 😅 Probably one of out best days in Tasmania 🥰 They say the best moments are the most memorable- I carried frankie all the way up and down in $20 broken boots I got off marketplace… definitely a memorable moment 😅
