Neuschwanstein Castle
Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century castle located in Bavaria, Germany. It was commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and was built between 1869 and 1886. The castle was designed by the theatrical set designer Christian Jank and was intended to be a personal retreat for the reclusive king.
Situated on a hilltop overlooking the village of Hohenschwangau and is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, including the Bavarian Alps and the Hohenschwangau Valley.
