Remarkable Cave
Enjoy the view of the untamed southern coastline from Maingon Bay Lookout before descending the stairs to the magnificent Remarkable Cave. You can easily and quickly get to the spacious viewing platform from the parking lot, where you can enjoy the outstanding views of Penguin Rocks and the bay.
This stunning shoreline was created by the ferocious waves pounding away at the beach rock below. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a resident sea eagle swooping high above you or a whale passing by as it migrates. Descend the 115 steps to view the Remarkable Cave from the central parking lot. You can see the cave from the specially made platform at the foot while surrounded by steep, old sandstone cliffs.
