The Ring of Kerry follows the coastline of the Kerry’s Iveragh Peninsula in Ireland, this ring road is one of the most famous holiday routes in the country. An iconic destination that cuts across Ireland’s diverse landscape of dramatic rock formations, green hills, rivers, harbors and picturesque villages spread along the way. The Ring of Kerry route runs circular over 179km (111 miles), the road takes about 3 hours non-stop from start to finish but most people drive through for at least 3 days considering all there is to see and do along the way. The starting point of this epic road trip for most people is Killarney, though you can start from anywhere, you could rent a car from one of the many airports close by - Cork (1 hour 15 mins) away and Shannon (1 hour 45 mins)away.
