Saqqara
The Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara are some of the most famous monuments of ancient Egypt. They are developed from the mastaba tomb and are enormous tributes to the memory of the Egyptian kings. Deep inside each pyramid was the King's Chamber, which contained the mummified body of the dead Pharaoh.
Visiting these pyramids is a day well-spent as it is a deeply educational and eye-opening experience that the whole family can enjoy.
