This natural phenomenon can only be witnessed when there is lots of bioluminescence in the water from the phytoplankton, which are nicknamed Sea Sparkles. Their scientific name is noctiluca scintillans, which literally means 'twinkling night light', and when it's disturbed by a wave breaking or a splash in the water at night, the bioluminescent sea will glow, showcasing one of the most spectacular natural sites you'll ever see!
