Serengeti National Park
Famous for its predators, known as the big five, the Serengeti National Park has an abundance of animals. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and the black rhino can be found amongst gazelles, giraffes, zebras, impalas, hyenas, kongonis, and elands. You can expect daily sightings of ferocious hunts and exciting kills that you will see nowhere else in the world.
One of the major highlights of the Serengeti National Park is the annual movement of millions of wild animals northwards for grazing. Often called “The Great Migration,” over 8 million hooves travel all the way to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Along the way there are all kinds of dangers and struggles that give full meaning to the phrase, “survival of the fittest.”
If you’re a fan of wildlife and big game, then there’s no better time and place to be than the Serengeti National Park during the great migration, so be sure to visit!
