Teotihuacan
About 30 miles from Mexico City is the ancient and sacred pre-Hispanic city of Teotihuacan. Next to it are the Quetzalcoatl's Temple, the Moon Pyramid and the Sun Pyramid. This vast Mexican archaeological wonder was once a flourishing ancient city with a rich indigenous history, and architecture. The Pyramids can be explored and even climbed alone or with a guide. The name "Teotihuacan" means "birthplace of the Gods",the Aztecs believed that the gods created the universe from this exact spot. The ruins are incredibly well preserved and offer breathtaking views at the top of the pyramids.Visitors can experience what is known as medicine walks,meditation in a dark cave and a temazcal (spiritual steam ritual).
