The Cathedral Notre Dame De Paris
In April 2019, Paris stood still and watched one of its oldest buildings, Notre-Dame cathedral, catch fire and start to burn. Thankfully, although the roof and the spire were destroyed, the structure remained standing, and France has committed to restoring the cathedral.
The fire shows how we should never take the world's beautiful buildings for granted, and embrace sightseeing when we can. If you visit Paris, will you stand on the banks of the River Seine and admire the beauty of Notre Dame?
