The Dead Sea
Situated between Israel and Jordan, the Dead Sea is so salty that it has very little or no animal or plant life. Experts say it is 10 times saltier than a normal sea, it is also the lowest point on earth at a record 431m below sea level. The water is extremely blue and has healing properties. Since the Dead Sea has no outlet all the salt and minerals remain in the water while part of the water evaporates. This makes the sea have a high concentration of salt. It is known to heal cuts, bruises, and other ailments. Swimming in the Dead Sea is quite easy because you naturally float as a result of buoyancy.
The dead sea is a natural spa, it is recommended never to dive into the water or let it anywhere near your eyes. The area around the sea is packed with luxury resorts, spas, hotels, and a bunch of other tourist activities. The Dead Sea’s lack of life is still a mystery to scientists today, as the name suggests it is completely devoid of life, It's only inlet is river Jordan and there is no outlet. Plan a visit around the surrounding area, take a mud bath, float in the water as you watch the sunrise,or go to one of the spas in the area.
