The Temple of Concordia
An ancient Greek temple found in Sicily, Italy, the Temple of Concordia is the best-preserved Doric temple in existence. This ancient Greek temple was built in 430 BC and has survived earthquakes and other major natural disasters in the region. Over the centuries it has been reinforced to make sure it survives the perils of time but apart from that it has remained intact for the most part.
The Temple of Concordia or Tempio della Concordia as the Italians called it, is part of Sicily’s Valle dei Templi, translated as the Valley of the Temples, a place with six other impressive temples: the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Heracles, the Temple of Asclepius and the Temple of Vulcan. However, the temple of Concordia remains the jewel of the valley, with its hallway of six feet high columns, its ancient Greek structure, and four-sided porch that will blow your mind everytime you look at it.
