Situated 3 kilometres off the coast of Bunbury’s Back Beach is a captivating dive site, The Lena Dive Wreck, that offers an unforgettable underwater adventure.
The wreck is a former tuna fishing vessel that was intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef, providing a thriving habitat for a variety of marine life.The Lena was a steamship that ran aground in 1880,it was carrying a cargo of jarrah logs when it encountered bad weather, and the captain was forced to beach the vessel to prevent it from sinking!
See the remains of the Lena which are still visible today, embedded in the sand at Koombana Bay.
