Thunderbird Park Tamborine Park
Welcome to Thunderbird Park Mount Tamborine- Australia's largest adventure playground! Originating from the Mount Warning volcanic eruption 22 million years ago, Mount Tamborine is located along the northern edge of the ancient caldera. From activities high in the trees with challenging high rope courses and zip lines to activities deep down in the ground digging for fossils - The park offers a smorgasbord of fun and educational activities for adults and kids, and a day here will be filled with memories!
Step foot on one of the many walking trails, including the popular "Warrior's Trail", which takes visitors through the rainforest and past ancient rock formations or hike through the many other trails immersing yourself in nature and remembering to keep your eyes open for some animal spotting as the park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including echidnas, wallabies, and over 100 species of birds. Join the bird feeding at 2 pm and get close to these animals in their natural habitat with regular visitors, including the rare Albert's Lyrebird, bowerbirds, butcher birds and wedge-tailed eagles!
Fly amongst the Tamborine tree-tops on ziplines, flying foxes, high ropes and tree-top bridges. Take on the adventure park high ropes course and canyon flyer tour, and don't leave the kids behind, as there are courses specially designed for them too! Enjoy one of the most stunning waterfalls in the region, Cedar Creek Falls, and once you've built up a sweat from all the fun, take a dip in some refreshing rock pools! Watch out for the duck-billed platypus though - who's a regular guest at Cedar Creek!
Have you worked up an appetite? No worries, head to the Rainforest Restaurant or the terrace Kiosk and fuel yourself with energy for more adventures!
