Vieng Xai Caves
For The Pathet Lao leadership And thousands of civilians, the caves around the village of Vieng Xai were home; they were used for almost a decade during the 'Secret War.'
In a narrow limestone valley, the caves housed conference rooms, a library, planning rooms, bedrooms, weaving mills and hospitals, among others. In the caves, you can hire a bicycle to explore, or you can take a guided tour through the caves. The tour takes about two and a half hours and is presented in English. There is also a restaurant near the caves to satisfy your hunger before or after exploring!
